On the job site, selecting the correct clamp size and assembling the loose parts of a traditional four-piece clamp can be frustrating deterrents to an efficient electrical installation. To help reduce installation time, Thomas & Betts has expanded its Superstrut® family of metal framing and accessories with the new Cobra™ One-Piece Cable and Pipe Clamp. The informational and instructional video above was created by our friends at Yusen Associates.
Ready to install right out of the box, the Cobra™ One-Piece Cable and Pipe Clamp features a pre-threaded bolt that enables the clamp to be quickly and securely installed with just one hand. In practical terms, this means no dropped screws or bolts and no wasted time. A universal bolt head accepts a wrench, screwdriver or nut driver for maximum installation flexibility. In addition, the Cobra clamp’s rugged stirrup and wide saddle design make it easy to complete jobs without disturbing neighboring clamps.
The Thomas & Betts Superstrut Cobra One-Piece Cable and Pipe Clamp attaches equal trade sizes of EMT, rigid conduit and cable to strut channels, simplifying clamp specification. The redesigned clamp works with all depths of strut – 13/16” to 3 1/4”. Clear markings on each piece identify the catalog number, minimum/maximum outer cable diameters, EMT/Rigid trade sizes, and CSA and UL stamps. This important feature for users and purchasers allows for easy on-the-job identification and ordering. The Cobra clamp is available in 316 stainless steel or electrogalvanized steel for maximum durability. For more information contact a Granite City Electric Branch Near You.
